EMAT - Our community of schools

Our school is part of the East Midlands Academy Trust (EMAT), which has seven schools across Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.

We are driven by a strong moral purpose that every child has the right to outstanding teaching and leadership. We strive to be a high performing trust that demonstrates educational excellence, operational excellence and our #EMATters ethos, which is represented by our core values of inclusion, innovation and impact.

All schools have been supported through their own improvement journeys, with most having a 'good' or 'outstanding' Ofsted rating. Each academy is unique, with its own strengths, challenges and characteristics. This is why we practice supported autonomy, enabling heads to lead their schools with centralised and devolved functions and guidance from fellow #EMATters.

We set high expectations for our leaders and teachers to support and stretch every child to ensure they reach their full potential. The same applies to our staff - we want everyone who works for EMAT to benefit from career development and progression opportuities. To support this, we have our own in-house training hub which delivers training and development to own our people as well as those from outside our family of schools.
