Stimpson Avenue Academy's Jennifer Kenny has won a children's comedy award at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
The Year 6 teacher performs in a show called 'The Extraordinary Time Travelling Adventures of Baron Munchausen' which was nominated for best children's show at the festival. The winners were announced online after the awards ceremony had to be cancelled due to Coronavirus.
Mrs Kenny said: "I do a lot of improvisation performances around the country and yesterday (Monday) I should have been attending the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards ceremony. "Using the power of technology, the awards were announced over the internet and our team was able to gather using a video chat.
